Supporting Local Businesses: Four Decades of Experience and Commitment
Understanding the needs of business owners in Frederick County is critical to our community’s growth and prosperity. With over 40 years of business experience, both my wife and I have operated small businesses here for more than two decades, I know firsthand the challenges and opportunities entrepreneurs face.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of attending hundreds of ribbon cuttings, business events, and networking gatherings, deepening my connection with the local business community. As an active member of the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce, I stay engaged in the issues that matter most to business owners.
The County Executive and County Council play a vital role in attracting new businesses and retaining existing ones. I am committed to working closely with our business leaders to ensure government serves as an enabler, not an obstacle, to success.
That’s why I strongly support initiatives like the Small Business Navigator and Ombudsman positions in the Planning Department, roles dedicated to helping entrepreneurs navigate regulations and get timely answers, so they can focus on opening and growing their businesses.
We must continue to foster smart, sustainable business growth that creates good jobs and helps more people live and work right here in Frederick County.
By building a supportive environment for businesses, we strengthen our local economy and enhance the quality of life for everyone.
